Brine Pool

Recycled-glass sculptures are inspired by deep-sea brine pools—dense, hypersaline lakes that collect in seafloor depressions when seawater interacts with ancient salt deposits beneath the seabed. These pools are toxic and oxygen-poor, creating stark boundaries where life thrives at the edges but disappears within. As our planet warms, it is urgent to slow that trajectory. My approach is to reclaim waste glass and transform it into sculpture, giving discarded material new life while reflecting on fragile ecological thresholds.
